The share of women involved in business in Belarus exceeds 41 percent — as noted by Ruslan Neverovich, the Deputy Director of the Entrepreneurship Department at Belarus’ Economy Ministry, during a press conference entitled Business in a Female Way: How Russian and Belarusian Women Create an Economy of Trust, sb.by reports
Mr. Neverovich pointed out that the percentage of women involved in business is similar in both Belarus and Russia, with Belarus at 41.6 percent and Russia at 41 percent.
“Traditionally, women tend to choose sectors where communication and creativity play a key role. As a result, the industries where women are active in both countries are quite similar, including consulting, advertising, the beauty industry, tourism, education, design, and fashion. However, women are increasingly entering fields traditionally dominated by men, such as freight transportation, industrial production, IT, and other areas. So, women are not merely experimenting with business; they are steadily advancing, nearly matching men in terms of activity level and scale, making decisive choices, taking on responsibility, and building strong companies,” the Deputy Director of the Entrepreneurship Department underlined.
