Economy Ministry: Belarus-China turnover reached $5.8bn in 2022

In 2022, trade turnover between Belarus and China reached a record $5.8bn – as stated by the Deputy Economy Minister, Alesya Abramenko

The official noted that exports of Belarusian goods to China has almost doubled and amounted to $1.6bn. “The number of domestic enterprises – accredited and aimed at active work in the Chinese market – has reached two hundred. It is equally important that our partners from China see new opportunities in Belarus," she said. “By the end of 2022, Chinese investors injected over $100m in the implementation of projects in Belarus. More than forty projects were realised with participation of Chinese companies, and the implementation of another two dozen promising projects is currently being worked out.”

Ms. Abramenko summed up that trade and economic co-operation between Belarus and China is steadily growing.
