Construction of robotics industrial park launched in Beijing
Beijing has begun the construction of a robotics industrial park, to be located in the Changping District in the north of China’s capital, Xinhua reports
In 2023, Beijing authorities unveiled a plan to construct two similar industrial parks, with the second facility to be situated in the Yizhuang Development Zone, in southern Beijing.
“The new industrial park in northern Beijing will focus on creating public service platforms and promoting innovative enterprises in the field of robotics to support the development of the related industry in Beijing,” explained the Changping District Government.
According to the Changping District Department of Economics and Informatisation, there are 41 universities in the region – able to provide personnel and intellectual support to the robotics industry development. The department also added that construction of two sections of the robotic industrial park is currently underway – scheduled for completion in H1 2026.
