Belarus’ Deputy Energy Minister Denis Moroz has met with a delegation of the company headed by its chief engineer Shi Ruijie in Minsk.

The head of the delegation noted that the company is interested in co-operation with the Energy Ministry of our country and is ready to contribute to the development of partnership between states. He recalled that, having a favourable geographical position, Belarus was one of the first to support the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative. The route of a container train running between China and Europe passes through our republic, providing additional opportunities for bilateral interaction.

“We are ready to provide Belarus with services for the digitalisation of power grids and not only,” Shi Ruijie stressed. He also mentioned the exchange of specialists, investment collaboration, supplies of equipment for the needs of power industry organisations as promising areas of co-operation.

In turn, Denis Moroz noted the interest in the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.

“Belarus has a long and close relationship with China, and the Energy Ministry is actively liaising with Chinese companies,” he said.

The Deputy Minister recalled that with the participation of Chinese partners, a range of projects in the field of electricity generation, as well as the construction of power grid infrastructure, have been implemented in our country.

“I’m convinced that with your arrival we will be able to find additional points of interaction in the field of digitalisation,” Denis Moroz added.
