Charles de Gaulle's grandson plans to get Russian citizenship

Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of the founder of the Fifth French Republic, General Charles de Gaulle, is considering the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship, TASS reports

Speaking to a TASS correspondent on the side-lines of the Forum of United Cultures in St. Petersburg and answering a relevant question, Pierre de Gaulle said, “Yes, exactly. It would be an honour for me to get Russian citizenship.”

According to him, Russia offers great opportunities. "I love your deep and powerful culture, intelligence and Russian spirit," the grandson of Charles de Gaulle added.
