Belarus, Russia agree on co-operation in the field of transportation of nuclear materials
Belarus’ Energy Minister, Viktor Karankevich, and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation’s General Director, Alexey Likhachev, have signed an intergovernmental agreement on co-operation in the field of transportation of nuclear materials – as reported by the Energy Ministry’s press service
The document was signed as part of implementation of the Union State programme in the field of nuclear energy approved by the heads of state on November 4th. As informed, it envisages the procedure for transportation of nuclear materials between the two countries.
During their meeting in Moscow, Mr. Karankevich and Mr. Likhachev discussed how the project related to construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is progressing, and also issues of further co-operation between Belarus and Rosatom State Corporation.
