Belarus’ President extended condolences over death of Slyunkov

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, extended condolences to the family and friends of the former first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Nikolai Slyunkov – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Please accept my sincere condolences over the death of a Hero of Socialist Labour, a prominent statesman and public figure of Belarus – Nikolai Nikitovich Slyunkov," the Head of State noted. “Nikolai Nikitovich is a worthy example of valiant work and dedication. His life path is inextricably linked with restoration and development of post-war Belarus. He was always distinguished by high moral principles, boundless devotion to the ideals of social justice, and a sincere desire to strengthen the foundations of the Belarusian statehood."

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that the memory of Nikolai Nikitovich Slyunkov will remain in the country’s history for many years and will live in our hearts.
