Belarus’ NAS: Soyuz MS-24 crew medically and psychologically ready for landing

The crew of the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft is ready for landing from a medical and psychological standpoint – as stated by the Deputy Head of the Aerospace Activities Department of Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences, Ivan Bucha, BelTA reports

A briefing session took place in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, where representatives of various agencies discussed all the details of the upcoming return of the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft crew with Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya to Earth.

“Preparations for landing began during the pre-flight period. Currently, all forces and assets involved in the landing have been fully prepared. During the medical briefing, it was stated that the crew, comprising Oleg Novitsky, Marina Vasilevskaya, and Loral O'Hara, feels fine and is ready for landing from a medical and psychological standpoint,” Ivan Bucha noted.

According to the NAS representative, the forces and assets of the Federal Air Transport Agency, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Defence Ministry, and the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of the Russian Federation are fully prepared to ensure the landing.

“We are talking about both a standard, regular descent, and a ballistic, emergency one,” he added.
