Belarus’ Investigative Committee examining facts of special means use by Poles against refugees
The Investigative Committee is examining a new fact of the use of special means by Polish security forces against refugees – as reported by the Committee’s press service
It has been established that, on night of November 23rd, a group of refugees stayed near the Polish fence at a section of the Tokari border checkpoint, in the Kamenets District.
People asked for asylum in Poland and did not show any aggression. In response, Polish security forces used tear-gas and explosive packages against unarmed refugees – throwing them onto the territory of Belarus.
An operational investigative group inspected the scene of the incident to detect the facts indicating the use of special means against peaceful refugees. Numerous fragments of ammunition were found and collected.
According to preliminary data, no person has applied for medical help at the border.
An inspection is being conducted on the case.
