Belarus, India signed programme of co-operation in the field of culture for 2023-2025

India’s Culture Ministry hosted an official signing ceremony of the programme of co-operation between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of India in the field of culture for 2023-2025, Belarus’ Foreign Ministry reports

The document was signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India, Andrei Rzheussky, and the Deputy Culture Minister of India, Govind Mohan.

“The cultural ties between our two countries, as well as the ties between our peoples, are of great importance. The present agreement contributes to the further deepening of mutual co-operation and familiarisation with the cultural traditions of Belarus and India," the Belarusian diplomat emphasised.

In accordance with the signed co-operation programme, the Days of Culture of Belarus in India and India in Belarus, the exchange of musical and artistic troupes, mutual participation in various competitions and festivals will be organised.

Govind Mohan noted that the implementation of the planned projects will enhance Belarusian-Indian co-operation in the cultural sphere and also contribute to increasing the two counties’ attractiveness for tourist and other trips.
