Belarus fully informs Lithuania on nuclear power plant operation

The Republic of Belarus provides Lithuania with unprecedented volumes of information on the nuclear power plant – as stated by Olga Lugovskaya, the Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry (Gosatomnadzor)

She noted that, two years ago, Belarus signed an agreement envisaging the exchange of information with Lithuania. According to Ms. Lugovskaya, we are in very close contact with colleagues from regulatory bodies.

“We are always open, and all information is provided in full. The amount of technical information we try to provide to our Lithuanian colleagues with is simply unprecedented. We supply no other state with as much information as our Lithuanian colleagues receive,” Ms. Lugovskaya commented.
