Belarus, Egypt discuss new areas of co-operation
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sergei Terentyev, met with the President of the National Research Centre of Egypt, Professor Mohamed Hashem – as reported by the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Egypt
The Belarusian diplomat congratulated Mohamed Hashem on awarding the National Research Centre of Egypt the first place in the SCImago rating as the most effective research organisation in the Middle East.
As a result of their talks, the sides agreed to intensify scientific and research co-operation between the two states in various sectors: agriculture, soil science, and animal husbandry.
Sergei Terentyev and Mohamed Hashem also paid attention to the development of Belarusian-Egyptian scientific and research liaisons in the field of genetics, food, physics, bioorganic chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.
