As recalled by the Deputy PM, this year marks the 27th anniversary of the Government Award for Achievements in Quality. “It should be noted that the interest among the heads of organisations in this competition – which is an effective tool for managers and companies to demonstrate their achievements in implementing innovative, highly efficient production technologies and practices that are aimed at maximising customer satisfaction and sustainable development of enterprises themselves – is growing every year,” he said.
According to Mr. Karankevich, participation in this competition is also an opportunity for an objective and independent assessment of the performance of enterprises in the field of quality. In turn, winning the competition is not only a recognition of worthy results by the state, but also a great opportunity for further promising development and the implementation of new projects.
“Improving the quality of products in the real sector of the economy and in the service sector is under the special control of the Head of State and the Government. Quite stressful tasks have been set for all industries, and growing exports of Belarusian products and services, as well as the recognition of the national ‘Made in Belarus’ brand in more than 150 countries, are the result of this work,” the Deputy PM added.
Mr. Karankevich informed that, in January-May 2026, the growth rate of exports of goods and services in the country as a whole amounted to 114.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. “These are the results of everyone who is present here, heads and teams of organisations. It is a certain contribution to the sustainable development of the country's economy and, of course, to strengthening the industrial and technological potential of the independence of the Republic of Belarus," he emphasised.
As noted by the Deputy PM, awards were bestowed upon 24 laureates today: nine of them were awarded for the first time, and fifteen organisations confirmed their high achievements in the field of quality for the second time. Four special awards were also presented.
"I thank the heads of organisations and your teams for their high professionalism, dedication, initiative and high level of responsibility," Mr. Karankevich addressed the participants of the ceremony. “I would like to encourage you not to rest on your laurels, move forward, implement innovative projects, introduce modern equipment, technologies with digitalisation and automation of technological and business processes, which in turn will help you maintain a high level of quality and competitiveness of your products both in the domestic market and abroad. Therefore, I would like to wish you to continue not to miss your opportunities and even greater improve the performance and achievements in your enterprises.”
