Andreichenko: important to inform international parliamentary community on situation around Belarus

Vladimir Andreichenko, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, delivered a speech at the sixth session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation, emphasising the importance of deputies’ interaction with their foreign colleagues

“It is very important to immediately and objectively inform the international parliamentary community on the situation around Belarus. We have such an opportunity since online events are held almost weekly. Of course, we should also focus our efforts on assistance in implementation of promising investment and trade and economic projects, diversification of markets for domestic products and technologies. This is a key task for the parliamentary friendship groups,” Mr. Andreichenko said.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly noted that results of the recent visit of an Indonesian parliamentary delegation to Belarus are a vivid example of the practical benefits that their activity can bring if work is competently developing, “In 2020, Indonesia was the fourth strategic market for Belarusian potassium chloride and plans to further increase its imports. This country is interested in our automotive equipment and creation of joint ventures which products can be later sold to other Southeast Asian countries. Parliamentarians of our two countries significantly contributed to the achievement of these agreements,” Mr. Andreichenko said.
