“Serbia is a historically close partner for Belarus, and the countries’ interaction is traditionally based on the cultural and spiritual closeness of our peoples. Actually, as the Head of State noted today, not everything in our relations is developing as we would like. Therefore, an intensive political dialogue and clarification of positions will become among my key tasks. Of course, Belarus has always supported and still supports Serbia on issues of fundamental importance to this country, and it counts on a similar approach from the Serbian side,” the diplomat said.

Mr. Malinovsky stressed that the context of bilateral relations cannot be free from everything that is happening on the European continent. However, Serbia has in many ways an independent position in the interests of its state, its people. “My task will be to find common points and use them for the benefit of our bilateral relations," he added.
