Aleinik, Mezentsev discussed Belarus-Russia Union State integration

On April 22nd, Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik met with the State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service

During the conversation, the two sides shared their views on topical issues of the Belarusian-Russian integration within the Union State format.

The issues of implementing the decisions of the Supreme State Council (adopted following the meeting held on January 29th, 2024, in St. Petersburg), the upcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from Nazi invaders and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State were discussed.

Sergei Aleinik and Dmitry Mezentsev also touched upon interaction with international organisations. As part of the Union State topics, the parties discussed the schedule of upcoming events of the Union State bodies for 2024, the establishment of a Union State Media Company, as well as participation in the Slavianski Bazaar Festival of Arts and the Kupala Night Festival (Alexandria Gathers Friends).
