During a media briefing, a spokesperson for the South African leader said, “African states, including South Africa, are striving to settle all issues as quickly as possible so that more than 200,000 tonnes of Russian fertilisers blocked in European ports enter the world market, including Africa.”

Moreover, Vincent Magwenya said that the issue of the need to unblock Russian fertilisers in EU ports was discussed in the near future at the Russia-Africa Summit held in St. Petersburg.

During the summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to TASS, drew attention to the fact that only two small batches of 262,000 tonnes of Russian fertilisers blocked in the EU were sent to Malawi and Kenya.
