Abramenko: all Union State programmes are to be implemneted by late 2023

It is planned to implement all Union State prorammes by the end of this year – as stated by Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko, speaking at a meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers, held in Moscow – as reported by the Belarusian economic department’s press service

In her speech Alesya Abramenko spoke about the progress of the Union State programmes.

“The implementation of the programmes enabled us to organise the work of our countries’ economies in conditions of external pressure, to form common rules in the transport and logistics sector, to give new impetus to trade-economic and investment interaction, to harmonise tax and customs legislation, to simplify the conditions for doing business, and to prevent a decline in living standards of our citizens,” noted Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister.

Currently, 94 percent of activities have been fully completed, 22 out of 28 Union State programmes have been implemented. The rest are at a high level of readiness and should also be realised by late 2023.

“We expect the full implementation of agreements in the energy sector, as well as breakthrough decisions in the field of a unified industrial policy, enabling us to take into account the national interests of the parties and strengthen the Union State economic sovereignty,” Abramenko said.
