Lukashenko arrived in Russia on working visit

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has arrived in the Russian Federation on a working visit, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

The first cosmonaut in the history of sovereign Belarus, Marina Vasilevskaya, who was awarded the Hero of Belarus title, also headed to Moscow on the President’s aircraft.

On the evening of April 11th, Aleksandr Lukashenko will meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow in a one-on-one format. The heads of state will discuss the development of co-operation between the two countries across various fields, alongside issues requiring consideration at the top level. The negotiations will also focus on the regional and international situation, as well as co-ordination of actions to respond to existing challenges and threats.

On April 12th, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are planning a joint event to mark Cosmonautics Day. The heads of state will summarise the results of the mission to the ISS, where the Union State crew worked for the first time in history. The presidents will talk with the cosmonauts, discussing further prospects for space co-operation.
