Sweden announced plans to send troops to Latvia to strengthen NATO forces in 2025

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said that the country will send its troops to Latvia in early 2025 to strengthen NATO forces on the eastern border of the alliance, TASS reports

According to Ulf Khristersson, the Swedish Government made an official decision on April 25^th to instruct the Armed Forces to train a limited NATO mechanised battalion in Latvia. He said the troops would be deployed there in early 2025.
