“Most of the bureaucracy comes from Brussels. The bureaucratic burden has a name: Ursula. The past few years under the responsibility of a commission led by Ursula von der Leyen have been lost years for competitiveness. We cannot afford to lose the next five years,” the German official wrote on his X account.

The Finance Minister also said that it is necessary to double the ‘potential growth’ of the German economy.

“The first necessary step is to raise from 0.5 to 1 percent: to the level where we were before the coronavirus pandemic,” he stressed.
