Zakharova called West accomplice in Kiev’s shelling of Zaporozhye NPP
Kiev continues its flagrant provocations against the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, and the West is actually an accomplice in the crimes committed by the Kiev regime – as noted by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, TASS reports
She said that the Kiev regime continues to play with fire, carrying out crude and reckless provocations against the Zaporozhye NPP and drew attention to the fact that Finland and Canada had timed the draft of another anti-Russian resolution with the recent session of the IAEA Board of Governors. “Thus, Western sponsors once again showed their duplicity, gave carte blanche to the regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to continue reckless attempts to cause irreparable damage to Zaporozhye NPP. In fact, they [Western states] are accomplices to the crimes being committed by Kiev, for which there is no excuse,” said the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman.
She stated that inspired by limitless support from their Western sponsors, Ukraine’s authorities seem to have nothing to restrain them, even in the presence of IAEA representatives, whose lives they are ready to put at risk.
Moreover, Maria Zakharova stated that Russia sent all the data to the IAEA confirming the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP, the international community should know those who are behind these attacks. According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the situation at the Zaporozhye NPP was on the brink of a breaking point due to shelling attacks by Ukraine troops and could have led to a man-induced catastrophe, but it was avoided.
