Welcoming Aleksandr Lukashenko, Xi Jinping noted, “I am very pleased to see you, my friend. I would like to congratulate you once again on your re-election as President of Belarus. This fully demonstrates the support and trust of the Belarusian people towards you. I am sure that under your leadership Belarus will surely achieve new and even more striking successes.”

The Chinese President stressed that Belarus and China are strengthening unbreakable friendship and political trust, and co-operation in all areas is advancing. The countries closely liaise on international platforms, including the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation. “China and Belarus are not obedient to any kind of global hegemony and harassment policy. We are defending international justice and equality together,” he said.

Xi Jinping invited the President of Belarus to the upcoming SCO summit in China in late August and the subsequent military parade on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory in World War II.

"I cordially invite you to these events, and I will be glad to see you,” the Chinese leader addressed Aleksandr Lukashenko.
