Women urge to unite in the name of Belarus’ development

Following 2nd Republican Women's Forum, a resolution – urging all Belarusian women and all compatriots to show a civic position, unite and stand side by side in the name of the country’s development – was adopted

The document reads:

‘Time has chosen us. We, the women of Belarus, participants of the 2nd Republican Women's Forum, are determined to contribute to Belarus’ development as we realise the responsibility for the fate of our children, families, and the country. We are proud of Belarus' successes in building fair, socially oriented society where care for children and the elderly, protection of family, spiritual and moral values meet the expectations of the Belarusian people. We express our deep concern about the policy of sanctions against our country and our people. We condemn the continuation of a hybrid war against our state as it violates all norms of international law. We are concerned about a tendency of the revival of the ideas of Nazism and the falsification of historical memory; it has become a threat to the peaceful existence of peoples. In this regard, we consider it necessary to consolidate the efforts of the entire civil society to protect Belarus in the face of modern challenges and threats. We are convinced that only humanitarian co-operation and dialogue, principles of good neighbourliness and non-interference in internal affairs are the key to lasting peace and genuine mutual understanding between countries and peoples’.

The Republican Women's Forum has become a significant social and political platform to express a civic position and to ensure patriotic education of people. An increasing number of Belarusian women are now participating in creative activities for the country’s good.
