Women support prosperous Belarus

More than a thousand ladies gathered for the Preserving Historical Memory, Creating Country’s Newest History forum, with the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, Natalya Kochanova, in attendance

As Ms. Kochanova noted, the forum is an opportunity to once again publicly declare that women are united, adding that ladies enjoy a special attitude in Belarus, including on the part of the Head of State, “The President of our country always pays special attention to women: a mother-woman, a worker-woman, a creator-woman… As the President's envoy to the city of Minsk, I could not but attend this meeting. For us, this is a festive event at which we can once again say that we – ladies – are united. We – women – stand for our native and prosperous Belarus. We – women – stand for peace and harmony. We – women – stand for kind attitude to children, family, the values and traditions defined in our Basic Law.”

Ms. Kochanova also emphasised the women’s contribution to amending the Constitution, “Among the members of the constitutional commission there were also ladies who took an active part in the working group’s activities aimed at finalising the country’s Basic Law and, moreover, in its discussion. A huge number of people spoke of the need to preserve the traditional values.”

“For us, guarantees for families with children, preservation of spiritual and moral traditions, and our historical memory are also very important. We – ladies – are wholeheartedly happy with this Constitution,” Ms. Kochanova added.
