Verkhovna Rada deputy: criminal case will be opened in Ukraine because of Zelenskyy’s possible treason

The Ukrainian court ordered the State Bureau of Investigations to open a criminal case on the possible treason of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and members of his team – as informed by a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Geo Leros, RIA Novosti reports

“They were obliged to open a criminal case under the High Treason article against Zelenskyy and his team. Let me remind you that the pocket State Bureau of Investigations refused to investigate Zelenskyy's treason when he appointed FSB agents to key positions in Ukraine’s Security Council, but we addressed the court to add information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and to begin a pre-trial investigation,” the deputy's Telegram message, quoted by the agency, reads.

Mr. Leros believes that the Ukrainian President, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, his deputy Roman Mashovets, ex-chairman of Ukraine’s Security Council Ivan Bakanov and former deputy secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Ruslan Demchenko should be interrogated as the main defendants in the appointment of the Security Council’s agents to the special service.

“I will not allow these traitors to escape responsibility for grave crimes against the Ukrainian people,” Mr. Leros stated.

Last July, the Ukrainian leader dismissed Bakanov and Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova from their posts for multiple facts of treason by employees of these departments.
