Venezuela to set up High Commission of State against Fascism
Venezuela’s Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said that President Nicolas Maduro has ordered to establish the High Commission of State against Fascism and Neo-fascism, TASS reports
Delcy Rodriguez said that Nicolas Maduro has decided to create the High Commission of State against Fascism and Neo-fascism to promptly present to the National Assembly a bill against fascism and all neo-fascist expressions in the exercise of politics and national life.
In addition, the Vice President explained that the decision to set up the commission was a response to the acts of violence that Venezuela experienced in 2014, 2015 and 2017 during anti-government protests that were accompanied by casualties. In Ms. Rodriguez’s assessment, peace and international stability are threatened by ‘neo-fascist expressions festering in power centres serving the Global North’.
