US raising alarm because of food crisis

Anti-Russian sanctions and pushing Ukraine to aggression have a negative impact on ordinary Americans – as Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene told Fox News, RIA Novosti reports

“US President Biden <...> is encouraging the international community to get involved because he wants war,” she said.

Marjorie Taylor Greene underlined that in this way the US leader is acting against his own compatriots, as he provokes an aggravation of the food crisis in the country. According to her, even some colleagues in Congress support such rhetoric.

“I wish my colleagues <...> would care more about securing our border, doing something about this crime, out of control inflation and gas prices,” said Marjorie Taylor Greene, emphasising that instead some politicians are beating the drums of war ‘that will undoubtedly lead to food shortages and famines’.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson also supported this point of view, noting that the American leader could have forced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept Russia’s conditions in the snap of a finger.

“Ukraine is one of the world’s leading wheat exporters. As a result of the fighting there now, there will be food insecurity in this country and there will be famine in the developing world. People will die. In Cameroon, for example, the government says it is facing a wheat shortage that has increased the price of bread by more than 40 percent,” he said.
