US, Armenian troops to hold joint drills
About 85 American military personnel will take part in the joint exercise between the United States and Armenia Eagle Partner 2023 – as reported by the Command of the US Army in Europe and Africa, TASS writes
The Command’s message indicates that about 85 American and 175 Armenian troops will take part in the exercise scheduled for September 11th-20th. On the US side, military personnel from the 1st Brigade of the US 101st Airborne Division and the Kansas National Guard, with which Armenia has had a partnership programme for over two decades, will be involved.
Colonel Martin O’Donnell noted that the exercise will allow the two countries to ‘build relationships at the tactical level’ and enhance the ‘interoperability’ of units for peacekeeping operations.
