Ukrainian Defence Minister: Belgium will allocate 611m Euros of military assistance to Kiev in 2024

Rustem Umerov, the Defence Minister of Ukraine, said that he had phoned his Belgian counterpart, Ludivine Dedonder, to discuss military support for Kiev, RIA Novosti reports

Mr. Umerov called the conversation productive. “Belgium plans to provide 611m Euros of military assistance to Ukraine this year and has long-term commitments to support the modernisation of our defence forces," he explained.

The Defence Minister added that the situation at the front and prospects for co-operation between Ukraine and Belgium had been discussed as well.
