Ukraine received $132m loan from WB for agriculture

The World Bank has allocated a loan of $132m to Kiev – as informed by Ukraine’s Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, RIA Novosti reports

The money was allocated to support agriculture.

"The loan has been transferred to the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine based on the results of the implementation of the measures provided for under the project of the Acceleration of Private Investment in Agriculture programme,” Mr. Marchenko said. 

The Finance Minister added that the allocated money will be used to reimburse the priority expenses, in particular in the agricultural sector, as well as to improve the situation in the food industry and ensure food security in Ukraine.
