At a meeting of the Council of Ministers Presidium, Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin spoke about the goals of social and economic development forecast for 2026, sb.by reports citing the press service of the Belarusian Government

“2026 marks the beginning of a new five-year programme, and the social and economic development forecast should be primarily aimed at fulfilling the programme's objectives, meeting economic security requirements and creating an environment for further growth of population’s prosperity,” Aleksandr Turchin noted.
In particular, the meeting of the Council of Ministers Presidium reviewed draft forecasts for social and economic development, target indicators for monetary policy and the republican budget for 2026.
