Tourist street with Belarusian goods on show may appear in Chinese Jinjiang
As part of the established business ties, a delegation of the Chinese-Belarusian National Innovation Industrial Park featuring Chinese-Belarusian Management Company of Jiangsu Province and Jasmart JSC paid a business visit to Mogilev
Over the years of co-operation with the Jiangsu Province, the Mogilev Region has established warm, friendly and mutually beneficial contacts with it (in 2015, agreements on the establishment of twinning relations was signed). The policy of openness – pursued by the heads of state – is producing a huge impact in this direction. As a result, in 2016, the Belarusian-Chinese declaration was signed on the establishment of the highest level of relations: trusting comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial co-operation. Bilateral liaisons are carried out in many areas, but foreign trade turnover acts as the basis. For example, from 2016 to date, exports of Mogilev goods to China has increased 13 times.
A meeting – held at the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee – focused on prospects for co-operation and development directions, and the Chinese side proposed a project to create a tourist Belarusian street in Jinjiang to demonstrate a range of Belarusian goods. In addition, the delegation members spoke of a possibility to open joint production ventures in China. The Chinese side will provide support in obtaining relevant certificates, purchasing equipment and organising production. Readiness to implement investment projects both in the Mogilev Region and in China was voiced as well.
Belarus’ Mogilev Region and China’s Jiangsu Province have been successfully co-operating in many areas, such as healthcare, education, and culture. In recent years, trade relations between the two countries have significantly intensified, and more active co-operation – envisaging implementation of joint investment projects – is planned in the future.
