Szijjarto: Hungary, Ukraine face long and difficult road to restoring trust
Hungary and Ukraine still have a long way to go to restore the mutual trust that has been undermined in recent years – as stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, after negotiations with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Head of the Office of the Ukrainian President Andriy Ermak in Uzhgorod (Transcarpathian region of Ukraine), TASS reports
At a joint press conference broadcast by M1 TV channel, Peter Szijjártó said, “We came here with the goal of restoring an atmosphere of trust in our bilateral relations. I think we can agree that we have made encouraging steps in this direction.”
The politician underlined that both countries have a long way to go. “We have a lot of work to do, but we, the Hungarian side, are ready to do this work,” he assured.
