State Border Committee: corpse of a refugee found near Belarus’ border

The body of a foreigner was found in the Svisloch River on the Polish-Belarusian border on May 24^th, the State Border Committee reports in its Telegram channel

Details of this incident are not reported. It is only known that the information came from the Podlaskie police.

Activists of Poland’s Grupa Granica organisation commented on the tragic case, saying that it is ‘the result of the desperation of people to whom the Polish security forces do not provide legal protection and illegally throw them over the barriers’.
