Sports and Tourism Minister: Belarus visited by about 5m guests in 2022 despite closed borders

Belarus' tourism potential is growing despite sanctions and border closures – as noted by the Minister of Sports and Tourism, Sergei Kovalchuk

“Last year, 5m tourists came to Belarus, which was much more than in 2021,” Mr. Kovalchuk said at the opening of the Discover Belarus tourist forum. “Exports of tourist services increased by $50m, and the country is now reaching the pre-pandemic level.”
