Serbia urged global community to contribute to diplomatic settlement of Ukrainian conflict
The international community should contribute to the speedy settlement of the crisis in Ukraine through diplomatic means – as stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, TASS reports
The text of Ivica Dacic's speech in Strasbourg on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Serbia's membership in the Council of Europe posted on the website of the diplomatic department reads, “On behalf of the Republic of Serbia, I want to address all relevant international subjects, primarily the most influential countries, [with an appeal] to use all their capabilities to stop the war in Ukraine, the suffering of civilians and the most vulnerable categories, especially children, as soon as possible.”
Mr. Dacic stressed that ‘Serbia says on the basis of its bitter experience that political dialogue has no alternative’. He called for negotiations and diplomacy to be given a chance.
