The development of artificial intelligence should be attributed to the most priority areas of scientific and technical development of Belarus – as stated by the Director of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences, Vasily Safonov, at a parliamentary session last week
"It is also feasible to pay significant attention to other high technologies that contribute to the development of direct artificial intelligence, as well as technologies that AI will directly affect in the near future (cryptography, information and state security)," the scientist noted.
Mr. Safonov added that a concept of the law on artificial intelligence needs to be developed. He emphasised that the draft Digital Development Strategy of Belarus for 2026-2030 and until 2035 provides for the introduction of AI in key areas of the economy and public administration.
