Sales of new cars in Belarus grew by over 24% in June

Sales of new cars in Belarus increased by more than 24 percent last month compared to May 2023 – according to the information published on the website of the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA)

In H1 2023, sales of new cars by BAA members amounted to 8,046 units – 23.5 percent down compared to the same period last year. At the same time, in recent months there has been a positive trend in the number of models and brands offered on the Belarusian market. In late autumn 2022, the number of models sold was less than 30 while now it exceeds 40.

Compared to the previous month, the sales of passenger cars in June increased by 24.3 percent to reach 2,051 units. The Geely brand accounted for 79 percent of total sales during Q2.

“In the near future, the trend towards the emergence of new brands and models on the market will continue, which will expand the range of passenger cars offered on the market for consumers,” the BAA stressed.
