Russian Foreign Ministry announced launch of de-dollarisation
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin said Dollar dominance will soon come to an end, RIA Novosti reports
Answering the question about when Russia will be able to completely get rid of the Dollar, Mr. Pankin said, “The process has started, and this is a trend. Of course, the Dollar position is strong in the global economy, and there are definitely a number of dependencies. The Dollar is not just a financial instrument. American politics reinforces it with other types of dependencies, a network of relations in the military-political and economic spheres, and so on.”
The Deputy Foreign Minister added that many countries are now becoming stronger and, accordingly, more confidence is shown in their currencies. Therefore, Mr. Pankin does not know whether the Dollar as such will disappear.
