Russia up to 4th place among India's largest trading partners
Russia came in fourth place in January-April of this year in the ranking of India's largest trading partners, RIA Novosti reports
According to India’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, Delhi increased purchases of Russian goods 4.2 times – up to $20.5bn – in January-April 2023. As a result, Moscow became the second most important supplier of goods.
China sells the most goods to India ($30.1bn), and the United Arab Emirates is in the third place ($15.85bn).
Indian exports to Russia have also increased: 1.6-fold, to make $1.3bn. As a result, the trade turnover between Russia and India has grown 3.8 times in the first four months of 2023 and amounted to a record $21.8bn – thus enabling Moscow to rise to one position among the largest trading partners of Delhi.
The top five partners also include the United States ($38.9bn), China ($35.8bn), the UAE ($26.4bn), and Saudi Arabia ($17.5bn).
