He noted, “The President is very deeply immersed in the topic of party building and appreciates the potential of political parties as rather high. It is their potential that is what they can do for our country. This potential is far from being tapped.”

Oleg Romanov explained what the Head of State is focusing the party structures on, “Firstly, each party should find its own identity, enabling people to clearly understand what the Belaya Rus Party does, what the Communist Party does, what other parties do, how they differ from each other and what specific work they carry out. Secondly, the President underlined that party members must have at least two significant qualities: commitment to the ideals of Belarusian statehood and devotion to their people, as well as professionalism. A party member must be a professional in economics, ideology, culture, medicine, or some area of activity that is significant to society. And then such people will be able to truly work for the development of the party and – through it – for the development of Belarusian society and the state.”
