Reuters: WB, EU and Kiev estimated the cost of Ukraine restoration at $411bn

The World Bank, the European Commission and the Kiev authorities have calculated that the restoration of Ukraine after the special operation will cost $411bn, TASS reports with reference to Reuters

The agency clarifies that this is more than 2.5 times Ukraine’s GDP according to 2022 estimates.

At the same time, in the early autumn of last year, in a similar study, the cost of restoring Ukraine was estimated lower: at $349bn.

According to the parties, Kiev this year needs investments for reconstruction in the amount of $14bn. The document also says that the damage to the energy system of Ukraine has increased five times compared to estimates in June last year.
