Emomali Rahmon noted that he had come to Minsk to visit his brother and friend on the eve of the CSTO Summit. He thanked the President of Belarus for the invitation and warm welcome.

“I would like to note the successful chairmanship of the Belarusian side in the CSTO. We actively participated in the preparation and holding of the CSTO meeting in Minsk. We are very grateful to you for your efforts during your presidency in this organisation. We have done a lot together, I will later inform you," the President of Tajikistan said.

As for bilateral trade and economic relations, the turnover is growing, and Emomali Rahmon noted, “There is a good dynamic in the development of our bilateral trade and economic ties. Our joint ventures in Dushanbe are working well. We are ready [to co-operate] in all directions.”

The guest recalled that a meeting of the Belarusian-Tajik intergovernmental commission had been held, and humanitarian ties were successfully developing. He also expressed an intention to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral co-operation, as well as international and regional issues with the Belarusian leader.
