Putin said brands that left Russian market suffered big losses
Some foreign brands have decided to leave the Russian market and as a result have suffered heavy losses – as stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports
Vladimir Putin noted that many of the brands leaving Russia do so ‘under pressure from their governments’. The Russian leader commented on this process, “Many of them leave our market — all the best. But because of the loss of our market, they suffer huge losses. It is their choice and decision.”
The President of the Russian Federation also added that Western companies regret leaving Russia.
“Many of them, I know it personally, some of them I know personally, do it without any pleasure. Who wants to lose an established business in which efforts and funds are invested? It’s not even about the money - many just put their souls,” Putin explained.
As far as the Russian business is concerned, according to Vladimir Putin, it coped with this situation.
“Probably, some thought that all of this would collapse and fall apart in our country at once. Nothing like that happens. Nothing collapsed or falls apart. Our companies, our entrepreneurs are picking up these enterprises or even directions and continue this work very successfully,” the Russian President summed up.
