Putin, Erdogan to meet in Sochi next week

The press secretary of Russia’s President, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed that talks between the leaders of Russia and Turkiye, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will take place in Sochi on August 5^th, TASS reports

Earlier, the administration of Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed that he plans to arrive in Sochi on August 5th for a one-day visit and to hold talks with his Russian counterpart there. According to Ankara, the two leaders will discuss bilateral and regional issues.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin last met in Tehran, Iran on the sidelines of the Astana troika summit on July 19th. In addition, over the past months, the presidents of Turkiye and Russia have repeatedly talked over the phone.
