Prodexpo International Specialised Exhibition opened in Minsk

The 28th Prodexpo Food Exhibition began its work in Minsk. Until November 18th, it will feature a wide range of food, packaging solutions, workwear, refrigeration and freezing equipment, and many more

As noted by Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Minister, Igor Brylo, at the opening ceremony, the year 2022 will be a record one for the country in terms of food exports. “The introduction of various restrictions has failed to result in a drop in production and reduction in Belarus’ sales markets. The country’s exports will exceed $8bn in 2022, with supplies increased to all regions which we partner with. Our products are present everywhere,” he said.

Mr. Brylo added that a wide range of food products is available in Belarus, “We produce more than 1,800 dairy products, 1,000+ meat products, and a wide range of confectionery products. This is a brand of Belarus that we are proud of. Technologists continue working, and new products are offered for sale countrywide almost every month.”

The exhibition also presents products from many Russian regions. As noted by Mr. Brylo, Russia is a strategic partner for Belarus. “This year, our trade turnover in the food sector has exceeded $6bn. Our country has delivered more than $4bn of food to Russia,” he said.

The exhibition is attended by representatives of 48 Russian companies from seven regions, in addition to Azerbaijan, Vietnam and Indonesia.
