President of Republika Srpska: every Orthodox country faces external threats

Serbs are part of the Orthodox world, and a profound analysis can show that every country of the Orthodox world, including Serbia, Belarus, Russia and Republika Srpska, faces external threats – as stated by the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in his talk with the RTR-Belarus TV channel

The programme presenter asked Milorad Dodik of why Serbs were forced to leave the territories occupied by them for centuries in the 1990s-2000s, “Was it a mistake of Slobodan Milosevic [ex-President of Yugoslavia] to start co-operation with the collective West at such a price? As a result, in your struggle, you are now forced to return what you have lost.”

"This is due to geopolitical reasons,” Milorad Dodik replied. “Serbs are part of the Orthodox world, and if you conduct a deep analysis, you will see that every country in the Orthodox world – including Serbia, Belarus, Russia, and Republika Srpska – has faced external threats. However, on the other hand, there are Bulgaria, Romania and Greece, which are moving away from their souls. The Orthodox world faces a serious problem today, we are receiving complaints from the so-called collective West. Actually, by looking back, we can see that the West does not do anything, since it has been acting in this way for centuries. At present, the European Union and Germany are copying the policy of the collective West, the United Kingdom and the United States. The European Union is now under the control of the US, executing the commands of the latter, so there is no sovereign will of the EU countries.”

According to the President of Republika Srpska, after the breakup of Yugoslavia, Serbs were actually the main losers. “Even today, they have no status of a national minority in Slovenia. In Croatia, our countrymen were expelled after the famous Storm military operation. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, there is only what is called the Republika Srpska. Look at Kosovo: Serbs lost there, they were kicked out, and the last piece of land in the north of the region is now being taken away. Macedonia and the Orthodox Church have suffered a very severe blow. There are no longer any Serbs in Macedonia as a national category. Meanwhile, in Montenegro, the well-known anti-Serb hysteria has been going on for 20 years,” he explained.

Milorad Dodik gave an example: after the elections in Montenegro, an American diplomat said that Serbs should not be included into the coalition, they should not be given power, despite the fact that they received a large percentage of the vote. The President of Republika Srpska noted, “Because of this, we are now in this reserve position, from where we defend the Republika Srpska and the Serbian people. Based on this position, we want to unite the Serbian people through historical processes. This is a politically correct idea, and it is not directed against anyone, especially not against the interests of big players who see this as a threat – a threat to the unification of the Orthodox people, the Serbian people.”
