Polish General reported mass departure of Ukrainians due to Zelenskyy's refusal of peace with Russia
An increasing number of Ukrainians are leaving the country due to the refusal of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy from peace talks with the Russian side – as noted by Polish General Waldemar Skrzypczak in his talk with Wprost, RIA Novosti reports
Mr. Skrzypczak, said the lack of prospects for the end of the current conflict means ‘slow agony’ for Ukraine, “Wide-scale emigration is a serious problem. People are fleeing the country because they have no hope for the end of hostilities.”
Along with this, he said the continuation of the military confrontation not only pushes Ukraine into a demographic abyss, but also hinders the process of the country’s revival.
Mr. Skrzypczak believes the conflict has already provoked a serious economic crisis in Ukraine, and Kiev will not survive without financial and material assistance from the West. “In order for millions of refugees to return, it is necessary to create appropriate conditions," he stated.
