Polish businessman: despite sanctions, I reckon upon wisdom rather than emotions

Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week is held these days in the country – under the auspices of the Government. The 4th Republican Business Forum – Entrepreneurship Development in Belarus: Consolidation. Strategy. Tactics – has been launched today, gathering participants from the European Union: Lithuania, Latvia, Germany and Poland.

Kazimierz Zdunowski, the Chairman of the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, shared his impressions, “It is a pity that not many European colleagues have come today. True, Europe is closed on political issues – but not on economic ones which are the basis for everything. Politicians are engaged in changing the superstructure, while enterprises both in Poland and Belarus are suffering. We have been liaising with the Belarusian market for 25 years, and we are sorry that we are losing each other's markets that have been conquered for years. These are now being occupied by competitors, and they will not give them away so easily. The conditions for the economy, for mutual international trade are being created by politicians through sanctions pressure in a way so that it is not easy for anyone. However, I reckon upon people's wisdom rather than emotions.”
